Life & Light Connection
The mission of Life and Light Connection is to help our young people to understand how the light of Jesus Christ can make a difference in all their life situations. And that this connection will pave the way for them to want to give their whole life to the Lord by their free will. It is not giving them an option for church, but rather offering them a bridge between where they are now and their developing or maintaining a desire for God and the church.
The format of our meetings are as follows:
- Highlighting concerns of the day at the individual, family, and societal levels.
- Engaging in heart to heart discussions on these and their effect on daily life.
- Introducing the Word of God into the situation.
- Prayers to invite God’s help.
- Follow-up activities, as necessary.
The Life and Light Connection programme will be refined, and driven by the youth. By the youth, for the youth, and led by the Spirit of God.
Yes They Can!
In her book “Yes They Can: Working with Children with Learning and Behavior Disorders”, Dr. Ricketts reveals strategies to her readers on how to overcome the difficulty of working with children with special needs and how to help them to gain their life’s success. She herself is the adoptive mother of a child with learning disability and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder.
Yes They Can, can serve as a teacher’s guide to help parents or teachers to utilize informed and practical strategies in order to provide for the best possible outcomes for their children who exhibit learning or behaviour disorders. Our tips, guides and cases will be sure to give your own efforts a tremendous boost which will surprise and delight you as you are experiencing success along your journey.
